Summary of the problem or suggestion:
Can you add an INFORMATIONAL event log entry that identifies the software version being 1) uninstalled and 2) installed.

Currently all that is in the event logs are the shutdown of the service followed by a restart, with no indication that you’re running a completely different version than the one that was shutdown. Might help to add the version to the service start event entries as well.

Fixed by @RBoy in today’s build, it will print the current version in the windows logs while starting, stopping, installing and uninstalling.
