This seems simple, but I can’t figure it out. All I want to do is generate an edl and not touch the video file. My settings are below. Is there something else that’s needed? i don’t see any setting that specifically states, “only generate edl”.
Ok, thanks. I tried that and it does appear to be creating an edl, but when it’s done, I can’t find an edl anywhere. I’m not seeing how to move it to the correct directory either, but first thing is just to find it. 
It will be with the converted file if there were ads detected. Check the logs for EDL
Ok, i got a chance to check the log and here’s what i found. It seems to find commercials. not sure I understand all of what is being said in the logs though.

The comskip.ini file in the MCEBuddy comskip directory is either missing, corrupted or inaccessible
Ah, I have a custom ini that’s named in incorrectly. I’ll fix that and try again.
