MCEBuddy stopped stripping the Title information from the file but not all files

When I re-encode a file from .mkv to HEVC MCEBuddy used to strip (or replace) the Title of the show or movie from the file before conversion. With 5.4.4 this has stopped on about 1/2 of the files I convert. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to resolve this?
