I am not an advanced user. We just got a new computer and I wanted to get MCE buddy for our new computer. Do I have to uninstall the copy from our old PC first or can I download to the new PC and get it working before I uninstall from my old PC?

You don’t have to uninstall MCEBuddy from your old PC first. You can download and install it on your new PC and get it working before uninstalling it from the old one.
When you install MCEBuddy on your new computer, you’ll need to transfer your license. You can find instructions on how to do that in the MCEBuddy documentation or by searching the forum.

You will need a separate license for the new computer. So you can either install it on the new computer and uninstall it from the old computer, or you can purchase an additional license to install it on the new computer and keep the old one as is.
