Hello, first time posting - long time paid user.
Last night I realized MCEBuddy on both of my Windows 10 based machines were crashing on jobs they normally process fine. The common denominator was that Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) 14.23.27820 was applied. After uninstalling MS Visual C++ (x64) 14.23.27820 MCEBuddy behavior went back to normal.
I had trouble because the update would auto apply again across reboots. Setting the network connection to “metered” prevents automatic updates from downloading until this is resolved.
Hopefully this helps someone out there.
