I am a long time user. I renewed my license, uninstalled and installed the new version. I opened from the start menu, ran as administrator and it appeared to convert files but nothing was saved. I created 80gb of space but it is still failing.
It sounds frustrating to have conversion issues right after renewing your license and installing the new version. The good news is that we have your log file attached, which is the most critical piece of information for troubleshooting!
Since the conversion appears to run but nothing is saved, this usually points to an issue during the final steps of the process—either the move to the destination folder or a disk space/permission issue that MCEBuddy is reporting.
I will take a look at the attached log file to determine the exact cause of the failure and will get back to you with the steps to resolve this.
In the meantime, the fact that you created 80GB of space is great, but just to be sure, please check the following:
Check your Destination Folder: Double-check your configured destination folder in MCEBuddy. Is it on a local drive, or a network share? If it’s a network share, MCEBuddy might have trouble writing to it, especially if it’s running as a service and not as a logged-in user.
Verify Permissions: Make sure the user account running MCEBuddy has full Read/Write/Modify permissions for the Source, Working, and Destination folders.
Just a note, you don’t need to start the program as an admin. The engine runs with administrative privileges in the background, the program (user interface) is just a way to you to configure and see the engine status and it can run as a regular program.
I had a look at your logs and it appears that your wtv file can’t be processed for some reason. It partly corrupted or it could contain information that isn’t being recognized. Can you upload a copy of your original wtv file to the server so we can take a look at it and see what’s going on.
I was running 2.5.4 in Windows 7 with no problems. After upgrading, I have run more than 50 conversions with no success. Should I go back to the earlier version or should I move to a windows 11 computer?
Thanks for the sample. I had no issues in converting it so I had a closer look at your logs and it looks like may have a corrupted installed of MCEBuddy.

Some of the files like ffprobe.exe are either inaccessible or missing. I would recommending doing a clean install of mcebuddy and that should solve your problem.
