Conversion results in no video

I ran into a couple video’s today that converted without video. I see a topic from 2017 that sounds similar but it didn’t sound like the resolution was valid. The only thing that changed was I upgraded the software that made the video yesterday but 1 of 3 recordings from after the upgrade worked. The originating TS files of all 3 play fine in VLC and shows up fine in custom cuts. I accidentally deleted one of the log files, but I’ve attached 1 of the 2 failure cases. I’m wondering if there is anything in the log you can translate to being the problem? The MCEBuddy install is from at least a week ago with many conversions completed fine.

Looks like your recording software is generating invalid video:

Guess that update wasn’t a good one.

Interesting. I can try and switch back a bit later. I’m using Hauppauge Capture and for a long time I’ve been generating TS files due to crashing issues with MP4. Supposedly MP4 now works better so I was trying an MP4 that I captured last night and I’ll see how mcebuddy does with it first.
The thing that confuses me though is of 3 TS vids captured since the upgrade, 1 converted fine. And the 3 original TS files play fine themselves. I also tried one of the bad vids on another box using a different profile (MP4 High Quality) and it converted ok with that profile.

I read your post further and checked something but now I’m more confused. So when that conversion wasn’t playable I decided to try on a 2nd PC and use the regular MP4 High Quality Profile. Same original TS file converted and video is playable. So I was thinking something in the TS encoding isn’t being liked by the HVEC MP4 conversion (I want smaller vids). But what confuses me is I looked in the conversion log (I uploaded to FTP as it was too large) I see the same errors you showed above. So if the same errors are in the log why does this video play?
