Conversion Failed for 2nd time on the same show

Can someone take a look and see if it is something on my end? This is being recorded using plex from a hdhomerun prime. Tucker Carlson Tonight (2016) - S2019E99 - Episode 99.ts-Convert PLEX-2019-05-18T07-38-11.1416807-05-00.log (351.7 KB)

Your closed caption extraction is failing:

MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.CCExtractor → Error: In user_data: ustream->bitsleft < 0. Cannot continue.
→ Process exited with code 1000
ERROR> → CCExtractor failed to extract closed captions
ERROR> 2019-05-18T07:47:26 MCEBuddy.Engine.ConversionJob → Extracting closed captions failed

It looks like a corrupted recording.

If you can upload a sample of the failing file to our server we can report it.
In the meanwhile turn off subtitle extraction and then re-run it.

EDIT: With the next 2.4.11 release we’ve modified the flow it won’t fail the conversion of the closed captions have an error or are invalid, it’ll log a warning in the file and continue processing it.

I’m seeing the same errors with some files. Is there anyway to have the file saved even though the close caption failed (like an override with status). Its a shame to change to have to turn off the subtitle extraction for the whole job when a couple of files have the problem. The original files play fine. MCEBuddy only has trouble with the subtitles.

Not currently since folks would like to know if closed captions failed so MCEBuddy stops the conversion. We will look into some options for the next version

Thanks !

In the next BETA build we’ve added an option for Strict processing in the Conversion Task expert settings. When enabled it will strict enforce closed caption/subtitle/chapter processing. When disabled , it will ignore an of these failures and continue the conversion.

thanks… looking forward to it
