Channels DVR file rename won't remove dates

EDIT: NEVERMIND. I didnt’ have ‘export mcebuddy json’ checked in channels. Guessing that will fix it.

I’m looking for help with my file renaming. I am unable to remove the original broadcast date and aired date & time from the filenames. Can anyone help?

My files come from Channels like so:

Forensic Files S01E02 1996-10-10 The House That Roared 2022-08-22-0859.mpg
or
Svengoolie 2020-07-25 The Land Unknown 2022-08-20-1859.mpg

“Rename and Sort by Video Information” produces:
Forensic Files-S07E23-2003-01-18 Partners in Crime 2022-08-21-0159.mkv

Setting a manual rename using “%showname%\Season %season%%showname% - S%season%##E%episode%## - %episodename%” produces:
…\Forensic Files\Season 7\Forensic Files - S07E23 - 2003-01-18 Partners in Crime 2022-08-21-0159.mkv

I am unable to remove the original broadcast date and aired date & time from the filenames. Can anyone help?

It looks like your metadata has the date as part of the episode name which is why it’s showing up in your custom rename. Attach your logs so we can see what’s going on.

Thanks. I resolved this by making sure in Channels to have the “export MCEBuddy json” enabled.

Doesn’t help already-recorded content, but new recordings are getting named properly by MCEBuddy.

Thanks!
