Renaming and Moving Only - Wrong Episode Number In File Name

I’m using MCEBuddy simply to rename and organize my downloaded videos. However, it had started changing the episode number for the output file.

I’ve attached a couple of example logs below. Things to note are:

  1. The Metadata has the correct episode_id
2023-02-20T15:56:23 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Base -->     show            : Night Court
2023-02-20T15:56:23 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Base -->     episode_id      : 4
2023-02-20T15:56:23 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Base -->     season_number   : 1
2023-02-20T14:59:24 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Base -->     show            : Animaniacs
2023-02-20T14:59:24 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Base -->     episode_id      : 2
2023-02-20T14:59:24 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Base -->     season_number   : 1
  1. When it extracts the metadata, it comes out wrong:

Any insight as to what I’m missing here?

Night Court_S01E04_Dan v. Dating.mp4-StreamFab-2023-02-20T15-56-23.log (41.6 KB)
Animaniacs_S01E02_Episode 2.mp4-StreamFab-2023-02-20T14-59-24.log (40.2 KB)

Hmm, I don’t see anything in the logs. Will need to analyze the original file to see what’s going on.

Can you upload the original file using the instructions here

I actually noticed in the patch notes for Beta 8 (15 Feb 2023) that there was a " 1. Fix for identifying MP4 episode metadata (Streamfab and iTunes)"

I downloaded the Beta and confirmed that it has solved the problem.

Next I’ll move on to figuring out why it isn’t recognizing %ismovie%, but I’ll do that in a separate post.
