hi is it possible that the mcebuddy team can add a feature to the mcebuddy software a way to remove watermarks from video files like there is a boxs on the software that do all different things and i thought would it be possible to remove watermarks from video files without blurring the video file i have heard of some AI softwares that can do this and it would be great if mcebuddy can add a feature to the software were it converts the video file and removes the watermark from the video file like if you add a video file and it is like a movie recorded off tv it has a watermark in it also bbc iplayer use the bbc logo in there video files can that feature please be added to the mcebuddy software
That’s an interesting feature suggestion!
MCEBuddy’s primary purpose is to remove commercials and convert video files, using tools like Comskip to detect ad breaks.
Currently, MCEBuddy does not have a feature specifically designed to remove permanent watermarks (like channel logos or burnt-in text) from a video file without blurring them, especially
so could mcebuddy team add this feature then to the software then the same way as the remove adverts bit if you can tick a box on the software and it removes watermarks from video files with out blurring the video files
It should be possible to add post-processing commnds to run the video through the AI logo removal tools you mention and add the feature yourself.
Handbrake has some logo removal features (not sure ic FFMPEG does or not) so you can add the processing options you want to the MCEBuddy task profile configuration. However, they are more blurring than removal. There is no way to just put data back that wasn’t there to start with. They work by blending the colors just outside the logo borders towards the center, or the top to bottom or side to side. That’s why they stand out, but if it’s better than having the logo, it’s a win, yes?
