Is my nVidia GPU actually doing the encoding?

I’ve got an nVidia card, and MCEBuddy is set to to HEVC (H.265) transcoding. However, I’m not sure that’s what the logs are saying, and I see 100% CPU use during a conversion. Am I missing a config setting someplace?

I’ve got a 750ti running the latest nVidia drivers 436.48 on Win10x64 and 1903 (build 18362.418).

Why is h265Codec showing as “false”? Do I need to explicitly choose the nVidia GPU brand?

The logs to debug. Can’t see much in this. It is detecting your GPU but the logs aren’t detailed enough to show any thing else.

will do this weekend. MCEBuddy could be using it, transcodes don’t take anywhere near as long as handbrake (standalone, current version) that is supposed to be using the nVenc codec.

See other topic on this. The GTX-750ti (Maxwell) does not support H.265 encoding (or decoding). I need a 1050 or above/newer to do HW/GPU encoding to H.265.

It does do H.264 (mp4) in HW/GPU, though.
