Can't Get Automatic Commercial Removal to work

I recently purchased the full version of MCEBuddy2.6 Release 5.
I’m new to MCEBuddy but I have had no success in getting MCEBuddy to automatically remove commercials from a movie. So I have spent days reading feedback and guidance previously posted trying numerous things. But I still have had no success. I’m new to MCEBuddy, so perhaps you’ll have to speak slower for me.

Here are the facts of what I’m trying to do. I have a .MP4 movie file from Tubi which has Commercials which I would like to Automatically remove. Even though MCEBuddy does numerous other services such as conversion to .MP4, all I am interested in at this point is the removal Commercials.

My MCEBuddy2.x is currently using the original Comskip to try to edit out the Commercials. So first, I want to ensure with my purchase of MCEBuddy2.x- please confirm I received the latest full version of Comskip and I don’t need to go purchase it separately? So assuming the answer to this question is “YES”, then we can go to what I have already tried.

I did figure out how to use MCEBuddy Custom Cuts with MCEBuddy2.x for me to manually mark the beginning and ending of each Commercial in this movie which will remove them and then allow me to save the movie without Commercials, but I purchased MCEBuddy to Automatically remove commercials.

Everyone seems to love MCEBuddy2.x, so I’m sure it is something simple that I just don’t have set correctly or that I’m doing incorrectly.

I will try to send my Log but not sure how to do this.

I would really appreciate some help on getting this to work.

Thanks - Anthony

See this page on how to get your logs and upload sample videos. Try uploading your original video as well for debugging purposes.

Yes, the MCEBuddy builds have an optimized version of Comskip included, although the difference you’ll see between the stock build and the optimized build is in speed and hardware acceleration.

The actual commercial cutting is based on the comskip.ini files. Check out this page for more information on tuning comskip ini files or try alternative built ones which are specific to countries and channels.
