Mi problema: (usando MCE 2.4.7)
Utilizo WMC para grabar programas de televisión por aire desde tres sintonizadores HDHomeRun antiguos; el archivo se guarda en una carpeta que es monitoreada por MCEBuddy. Esta temporada, mi televisor Samsung de 2 años no ve los archivos MP4 en el directorio de destino donde MCEBuddy los coloca después de eliminar comerciales y convertir de WTV a MP4. Aún puedo ver los videos en mi televisor Samsung si uso software adicional de conversión (iDealshare) para volver a convertir el archivo a un MP4 compatible con Samsung O puedo transmitir el archivo generado por MCEBuddy al televisor desde una computadora Windows, pero no puedo usar el televisor para explorar mi red y reproducir el archivo.
Este es un gran problema, ya que mi esposa señala que esto no ocurría el año pasado; todos los archivos convertidos por MCEBuddy se reproducían directamente desde el televisor.
¿Entonces qué cambió?
El televisor tiene el mismo firmware que el año pasado, pero he actualizado MCEBuddy una o dos veces desde entonces; además, en mi búsqueda por mejorar las cosas (nunca dejo las cosas como están), es posible que haya alterado manualmente el perfil MP4 predeterminado.
He intentado solucionarlo:
Desinstalé MCEBuddy, eliminé todos los archivos de configuración y lo reinstalé, pero esto no solucionó el problema; he probado los siguientes perfiles de MCE (MP4 alta calidad, MP4 normal, MP4 rápido, HEVC MP4) y aún así no se resolvió.

¿Alguien tiene alguna idea sobre qué hacer para que MCE genere archivos compatibles con Samsung?
También tengo varios televisores inteligentes Samsung antiguos. Ninguno de ellos ve recursos compartidos Samba en mi red. Sin embargo, sí ven servidores DLNA. Mi recomendación es que pruebes un programa como Emby para transmitir a tu televisor. Solo apúntalo a tu carpeta de salida de MCEBuddy y habilita la transcodificación por hardware. O eso, o intenta actualizar tu servidor DLNA actual.
Tenemos un par de televisores Samsung para pruebas, ninguno de ellos admite recursos compartidos Samba. Tenemos que usar un servidor DLNA como Serviio o el que viene con el televisor para que los televisores puedan ver los archivos MP4 como dijo @techpro2004.
No estoy seguro de qué pasó…
Ahora estoy usando el perfil “MP4 Normal” de MCEbuddy, mi TV Samsung ahora reconoce y reproduce mis grabaciones OTA de HDHomerun después de la conversión y eliminación de comerciales por MCEbuddy. Sé que probé este perfil anteriormente mientras solucionaba problemas??, tal vez alguna otra configuración era diferente durante esa prueba.
De todos modos, todo parece estar bien ahora…

La semana pasada el problema regresó, sin cambios en el software o firmware de WMC o HDhomerun, solo puedo asumir que las actualizaciones de Windows 10 pueden estar causando el problema. Me rendí con Windows Media Streaming e instalé Universal Media Server (UMS), mi TV Samsung ahora ve y reproduce todos los archivos MP4. UMS parece ser una aplicación “ligera”, tiene características que Windows Media Streaming no tiene.
