Conversions are crashing and stopping

Thanks for the update/upgrade! Long time MCEBuddy and WMC user, now trying to figure out how to best configure and use commercial detection and removal with Comskip and/or ShowAnalyzer. I’ve also had an issue with MCEBuddy crashing, which it’s never done before. This happened after

I upgraded to 7.3.1 a week or so ago. After going through my drivers, updating where needed, making sure all of the Windows upgrades were in place, and removing/reinstalling MCEBuddy, it appears that it’s happy again - but it took a couple of days to get there. Let me know if this would be a good thing to post, and if so, where would be best to post it. (Along with any of the associated log files that you may need…)

Sheesh - install is build 2.7.1 - I advanced the build cycle by about a 3x factor. That’s what I get for grabbing a number from memory…

Can start with the log files. MCEBuddy.log if the engine is crashing. If the user interface is crashing then click on the events button on the UI and it will give you the UI logs.

Things seem to be working, but here’s the MCEBuddy log file, and the log file from one of the conversions that failed as well. Maybe an issue from the upgrade to 2.7.1 on 03/17 - the upgrade did not carry over all of the settings. Errors occurred on 03/23, and I reinstalled, updated drivers, etc. and it has not crashed again at this point. (Although I haven’t used it much…) Not at all a priority, more of an FYI…

mcebuddy.log (563.9 KB)

MCEBuddy Monitor Thread Crashed.txt (2.5 KB) (There were 7 of these)

Unable to delete installation directory.txt (1.8 KB) (From upgrade to 2.7.1)

Failed to restore config files.txt (1.8 KB) (1.8 KB) (From upgrade to 2.7.1)

Let me know if you need something else - thanks Goose!

You have a bad install. It’s missing some critical files.

Try a clean install to fix it.
