# Very SLOW encoding after upgrading from 2.4.11 to 2.5.X on two different machines

I have two machines I am using to compress all the movies I’ve recorded and both machines are doing the encoding slower than I think they should. Both machines run either the same or slower if I enable hardware encoding on any 2.5.X build, and I’m not even sure if my hardware supports it or not so I need your advice there. Machine 1 used to encode movies in about 2-2.5 hours with version 2.4.11 installed and with any version of 2.5.X it takes an average of 3.5-4 hours. Machine 2 averages 3.5-4 hours also.
Machine 1 Specs:
Windows 8.1 Pro
Intel i5-4690K @ 3.50 GHz
8 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GT-730
Machine 2 Specs:
Windows 10 Pro
Intel i7-950@3.07 GHz
12 GB RAM
AMD Radeon 5870
These machines run MCEBUDDY 24/7 so I have lots of log files. I don’t know how to approach getting help from you, one machine at a time or both at the same time…I will include logs from both machines and If you want to address one at a time that is fine with me. The most important machine to sort out is Machine 1 since that is the Media Center and I want that one back to doing fast conversions first.
