# Suggestions for Football Game Encoding Quality

I am currently using MKV (I’ve also tried MP4) Normal quality for NFL Football games and I can’t help but to think they are too blocky/pixelated at times. I am curious if there are any dials to turn to make it higher quality without adding all the extra time it takes to do a High Quality rip (this takes about as much time as the game itself – 3 hours or so).

On the conversion task page:
- Try moving the Quality slider to the right (e.g. +50%)
- Also check the maximum resolution slider such that it isn’t downscaling the video (it should equal to or higher than your recording video resolution)

WOW 🤦♂️ I cannot believe I didn’t see that. 🤦♂️ It’s right there! LOL. I was thinking more about modifying the underlying profile, but that slider is exactly what I am after, and much simpler, too. Thank you so much!
