Hello, is anyone using EPGCentre and Zap2it to update their WMC program guide? For some reason MCEBuddy is not able to determine what Season or Episode my shows are any more. I have been using the custom file renaming option that uses the season and episode attributes. Below is an example of XML lo…

Posting here in case anyone runs into this same issue. It ended up being an issue with EPG Collector and the new version seems to be fixing this. Link to my support thread for EPG Collector below. Thanks for your help again Goose. https://sourceforge.net/p/epgcollector/discussion/1125946/thread/7b…

The xml file from zap2it contains a listing of all programs being aired. How does mcebuddy know which recording corresponds to which entry? If you’re using WMC then the metadata from zap2it should be embedded by WMC into your WTV file which then is extracted by MCEBuddy.

I am just wondering if the XML that is being generated is not formatting the series correctly and somehow no…

Does MCEBuddy read the metadata from the MXF or is WMC reading from the MXF and then saving the meta data into the WT…

Zap2It provides the information to WMC which then puts into the WTV file. MCEBuddy reads the WTV file and extracts the relevant metadata from it. The dd_progid appears to be random/proprietary ID, I don’t see any it anywhere on TVDB or anywhere else. Here’s more details on it: Episode Number Format…
