# H265 hardware encoding preset

I have access to h265 encoder (from log file):  
2017-11-30T08:44:14 MCEBuddy.AppWrapper.Handbrake --\> [08:44:14] - H.265 encoder: yes (8bit: yes, 10bit: yes)

But I am trying to figure out which of the presets will encode to h.265 with hardware. I tried the HEVC MP4 setting and it did not use the HW H265. So basically I think I just need to pick the correct preset but I have no idea what that would be.

Any help is appreciated.

HEVC profiles should use h.265 hardware encoding.

Can you attach your conversion log.

I ended the process early since it was not using the HW encoder. hopefully this gives you enough information if not I can try again.

Upgrade to the latest 2.4.8 BETA version. This issue was fixed last week.
