MCEBuddy Version and Type (64bit):
Operating System and Type (Windows 10 64bit):
Summary of the problem or suggestion:
Please allow ‘Below Normal’ setting for the priority drop-down as it falls in between normal and low which would also be a great middle-ground.
Steps to replicate the bug:
Because video processing is VERY CPU and IO intensive (remuxing), Below Normal doesn’t really make the computer any more responsive than normal. The only way to make it “responsive” was to set it to Low priority.
Was there a specific reason you’re asking for below normal and not wanting to use low?
I have found with Handbrake this setting makes sure that if I need a foreground background app to take more of the CPU then below normal gives me that flexibility whereas with normal it tries to fight the current active program for resources. Low slowed down the processing to much I was finding.
