# Create a User Profile File that can be used in addition to the delivered Profile.CONF

**Summary of the problem or suggestion:**  
It would be useful to create a user-defined Profile.CONF that is not in the installation directories. The file would be additive rather than either/or. Currently, the Custom Profile file takes precedence over the standard file.

Example: If there are 10 profiles in the Standard profile.conf and 2 profiles in the User Profile.CONF, then MCEB would show all 12 profiles. To alleviate any precedence issues, User profiles would be prefaced by “USER\_”, e.g. “USER\_MP4\_NORMAL”. The user would see all profiles from both files.
