Comskip only found one commercial which was cut by MCEBuddy.

If you think Comskip is not being aggressive enough to find commercials you can use the Comskip INI tool included to tune it to be more aggressive or use one of the ready made Comskip INI files described here:

> [@Tuning Comskip and Custom Comskip INI's (Country / Channel specific)](https://discussion.mcebuddy2x.com/t/tuning-comskip-and-custom-comskip-inis-country-channel-specific/29):

> Tuning Comskip Commercial Detection See [this post for details if you’re want to install a custom version of Comskip](https://discussion.mcebuddy2x.com/t/64). Tuning Comskip INI’s Comskip can be fine tuned to better detect and cut commercials for each country/region. There is a file called comskip.ini in the comskip directory in the MCEBuddy installation directory (by default C:\Program Files\MCEBuddy2x). The details of the tuning parameters can be found at: [http://www.kaashoek.com/files/tuning.htm](http://www.kaashoek.com/files/tuning.htm) NOTE: Starting v2.4.1 there is a GU…

Which is why there are tools provided to adjust the commercial detection to your needs. Did you you check out the link and use the Comskip Ini Editor tool provided with MCEBuddy?

Hey, I also have verizon fios, here is my ini file, it works pretty well to remove commercials and the beginning of the next show, for the most part. Give this a try and let me know. Im working on trying to get it to remove the ending of the previous show since I have set plex to dvr 1 min. before and after the show time

I edited comskip.ini and changed all the ‘commercial’ settings to 4 thinking any commercials would be limited to 4 seconds. Number one I don’t know what I’m doing as my knowledge level is 1st grade, second it did not have any effect on commercial length. Release 2.5.7

4 seconds is way to short. Infact MCEBuddy won’t even cut commercials if they’re smaller than 20 seconds by default. You can this setting in the system settings page but I would not recommend making it smaller than 10 seconds as it can have other side effects.

Now coming to Comskip, check out the [tuning Comskip](https://discussion.mcebuddy2x.com/t/29) guide to get started. There’s an easy to use Comskip ini editor app included to adjust the Comskip ini that explains each of the settings in the ini file and impact it has on commercial detection. The job of Comskip is to detect commercials and tell MCEBuddy where they are located for MCEBuddy to then further process them. That’s all Comskip does.
