# Comparison between Handbrake and FFMpeg for H265 NVidia encoding?

Are there pro’s or cons to one or the other? I’ve got my own FFMPeg 265 profile - wondering if it’s worth using the new build / new profile. Thanks! Will.

Not really. If you’ve got something working for you go for it.

The new one is optimized for auto tweaking by MCEBuddy for hardware encoding.
