[BUG] Mcebuddy engine not starting on reboot

Recently installed on server 2016 and if i restart the server the service fails to start, lunching mcebudy stopping and starting again fixes the problem until the text reboot.

Any tips to resolve? Not sure why its looking for a domain controller, its running on a DC.

Looks like MCEBuddy is trying to authenticate with a network drive you’re configured in your settings but windows is throwing an exception when it tries to do this.

It typically happens with the network service subsystem isn’t started yet so windows is throwing an error. When you do this manually later manually, the sub system has already started, so it then works.

The simple solution is to open your service manager in windows and have MCEBuddy start up as “delayed” service. This way it gives your network sub system time to start on boot and then windows will start MCEBuddy which should resolve your issue.

no network drives, mcebuddy and the drivers are on the server. But yes setting it to delayed start fixed it.

Starting today’s 2.4.9 build MCEBuddy service will be set to delayed start by default, since it depends on a number of windows service and it’s better to start delayed.
