NEW FEATURES:

  1. Added support for extracting, processing and embedding VobSub IDX/SUB image subtitles
  2. Added support to extract all text based subtitles (WebVTT, ASS/SSA, 3GP/TTXT, SRT etc) and save/embed them in SRT format
  3. Added option in Conversion task → Expert settings → Extract burned-in subtitles to search for subtitles burnt into the video and extract them into a SRT file using OCR

BUG FIXES:

  1. Fixed sign for subtitle offset correction, -ve means to slow down and +ve mean to catch up
  2. Fixed issue with converted video reported length exceeding the original video when embedding subtitles which contains timestamps past the length of the video
  3. Fixed an issue where audio and video would go out of sync for some videos caused by a bug in ffmpeg
  4. Fixed extraction of subtitles with CCExtractor when file format wasn’t detected correctly
  5. Fixed a rare condition where configuration files get corrupted under heavy load
  6. Fixed an issue where the GUI would hang if there are thousands of files in the queue being processed very quickly
  7. Fixed an issue with 1 pass ffmpeg profiles where a failure in hardware encoding will mistakenly process the conversion as successful

ENHANCEMENTS:

  1. Added support to detect a hang due to a bad driver when using hardware encoding
  2. Updated MP4Box to support more MP4 and subtitle features
  3. Updated MKVMerge/MKVExtract to fix bugs and support more video and subtitle formats
  4. Updated Handbrake to improve performance
  5. OCR files are automatically downloaded after setup is completed
  6. Updated CCExtractor to 0.95 with support for tesseract 4.x and 5.x. More details here: How to Enable DVB and Image Subtitle Extraction
  7. Improve performance by 50x-9000x when scanning directories with a large number of files (e.g. 10,000 files)
  8. Improve performance by 30x when adding/deleting 1000+ files
  9. Change the cursor when loading history or event logs to show it’s busy and show appropriate cursors over links
