I have a load of WTV files from Windows 7 MCE that I wanted to run thru MCEBuddy and strip out all the commercials. It does do it’s job, however resulting file does not have the thumbnails that the source does. In windows 10 it shows a thumbnail for the source file but the WMC icon for the MCEBuddy created files, and in Windows MCE it shows a blank box for the thumb but the original source file shows it’s usual thumbnail. Any way to get MCEBuddy to generate thumbnails within the WTV files?
WTV is a closed format, we’ve been able to extract the image but putting it back has been a complex challenge, it works in some cases and not others. Feel free to open a feature enhancement request and if enough folks want it we can look more into it.
Thanks Goose. Do you know if I put an image of the same name in the same folder as the WTV file if Windows Media Center will show it as a thumbnail? My only concern with that is it won’t delete the thumb most likely.
