first thanks to the creators of MCEBuddy.
I have the paid MCEBuddy and Comskip.
I have my Plex doing DVR from a HD Homerun with dual tuners.
MCEBuddy runs in its own VM with 8 vCPUs and 16GB of ram.
So far, out of about 10 tv shows recorded, MCEBuddy has gotten rid of most of the commercials on the first time 8 or 9 times. I don’t care if there is a commercial or a fragment of one left, its free right? But one or two times id did not get any commercials or very many. But when I ran the episodes through it again, it did a great job and got most of them.
The situation is worse with movies, though admittedly I have only tried it on older movies, like True Grit and Escape from NY. It barely gets any, even on a second pass through the process.
I know that there are ways to tweak the process, particularly comskip, but I have been googling for different settings for movies vs tv and have not found much.
Any help is appreciated.
